Mosake is a design and build studio. Three partners, more than fifty years of design between them, and one rule: we make the thing, not just the deck.
We work with founders and teams who want a small senior crew that can take an idea from positioning to a shipped website or app. We use AI where it makes us faster and better, and people everywhere it matters.

Brand, art, motion, and design
- Brand and art direction for Spotify, Apple, Coca-Cola, Comcast, Lowe’s and UPS.
- Four years as creative director at MF&K. Before that, design director at Blueriver, with Apple as the main client.
- Has run Self Edge’s brand, from posters to leather patches, since 2008.
- Runs Markmont. Shop, his own line of yo-yos and small-batch coffee.
- SCAD, graphic design and animation.
Marketing, business, and UI/UX
- Grew Trane’s design team from 3 to 25, and built its global design systems and Trane Cloud.
- Joined PhoneSoap as its only designer. Left it with a team of ten and five new product lines, one of them for hospitals.
- Led creative at Bluehost through a full rebrand, and at Forge for Intel, McAfee and eBay.
- Designed a companion app for an implanted medical device.
- Co-founded LIME in 2007 and grew it to 30 people.
Product, engineering, and systems
- Launched Trane’s first global design system, across five business units and 40+ products, then led product.
- Designed Apple’s intranet design system, used by 150,000+ employees, and production tools for Apple TV+.
- Co-founded MF&K, which signed $1M in contracts in its first month.
- Built the design systems behind Johnson & Johnson’s intranet and SkySlope.
- Builds Next.js and native iOS apps with Claude Code, Mettis among them.
How we work

- Claude Code is in every project. It lets three people work like a much bigger team, and every change still goes through a person before it ships.
- Decades together.
- Sean and Shawn have worked side by side since 2015, at Namify and then Trane. Sean and Mark since 2020, at Blueriver and then MF&K, the agency Sean co-founded.
- Collaboration first.
- You talk to the people doing the work. We start with a brain dump, ask questions until nothing is fuzzy, and show designs before we write code.
- We build.
- Sites go live in two-week sprints. Apps go to real phones early. We build our own products too, so we know what it takes to run one.
